I am confident in saying that most everyone has had some issues with the way they look at one point or another in their life. I am also confident in saying that those same people have thought about changing themselves to fit the mold brought on by society. Insecurity in the way you look is common. However, what you do with that insecurity is what sets you apart from others.
There’s no doubt that 2016 will go down as one of the worst years ever for America, and many other places around the world. This year we lost so many prominent faces to addiction, mental illness, and natural causes. People who were forces in their own rightful arenas. We were also either one side or the other from a toxic and dividing political election that pitted friend against friend and relative against relative. I ended up being on the losing side of things unfortunately, in more ways than one.
PRINCIPLE V: OPT OUT OF SELF-SABOTAGING METHODS – I CHOOSE TO LIVE A LIFE OF RECOVERY AND PURPOSE NOW.
PRINCIPLE IV: PURSUE POSITIVE PRACTICES TO MAINTAIN MY SOBRIETY – I’M FULLY COOPERATING WITH GOD REGARDING HIS UNIQUE PLAN FOR MY LIFE.
So in the 4+ years I have been sober so far I have come to see a popular trend; positive posting only blogs, facebook pages, twitter accounts, etc. I know, that sounds horrible for a recovering alcoholic to say since we all need positivity in our journey through sobriety so that we can stay strong and be inspired, but too much of that causes problems as well.
