Long story short, Christianity is an all encompassing religion that accepts everyone as they are. If your idea of Christianity is different from this, you aren’t doing it right. God created us as we are, and Jesus saved us by his ultimate sacrifice.

Christianity has gone through several iterations, and continues to do so to this day. However, a growing number of people are standing up for equality and inclusion. Equality and inclusion are Biblical (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). And this is the direction of Christianity as a whole.

With each generation, the popularity of religious conservatism has declined. Forty-seven percent of the Silent Generation (ages 66 to 88) are religious conservatives, compared with 34 percent of Baby Boomers, 23 percent of Gen Xers and 17 percent of Millennials.

It is very clear to see God’s idea for Him and Christianity in the way Jesus walked the earth. Jesus took care of the poor, advocated for peace, and loved everyone for starters. He didn’t discriminate for any reason. He accepted all exactly for who they were. Unfortunately some sects of Christianity feel as if this isn’t Christ-like, even with ample evidence in the Bible.

As such, I am a Christian. I believe in God and his son. I believe that we are all here to learn from and teach each other in our lives. We are meant to spread love and knowledge. Not one of us is better than the next.
