Principle VII: Experience Heart-Pounding Life Purpose

I’m living in the center of God’s will.

Reaching the point where you finally feel like you are where you need to be, or at least on the right path, can be a celebratory moment. I remember the day very clearly that I finally realized I was going down the right path. I was not quite a year sober yet and was moving away from a very bad situation in my life and on to a great new journey of happiness and health. Knowing I was finally making the decision to leave instead of stay was a very good moment in my sobriety.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

If we are diligent in our journey to be better people in our sobriety and in Christ, we will be blessed with the gifts God has for us. We are all given a purpose, whether it be to tell our stories openly, or council in private, or stop drinking quietly and go on about your life without fuss. We are all tasked with something and with clarity of mind we are able to find that PURPOSE and succeed in life and faith.

So, go forward knowing you are making the right moves by getting and staying sober. You are opening your mind and life up to Christ and God and can finally live to your full potential. Avoid slips by remaining steadfast in your faith, and when it waivers, reach out. You have a PURPOSE!
