Bible Study

Understanding the Word is the basis for Christianity. The Bible is the go-to and reference for understanding God, Jesus, and Christianity as a whole. By learning from different perspectives we are able to grow from each other and with each other in Christ. To me, Bible study helps me put my experiences into the context of Christianity.

The Bible isn’t a light read, seeing as it has 66 books, 1189 chapters, 23145 verses, and countless amounts of wisdom. It takes time to get through the entire Bible guidance is often needed. I not only follow a Bible reading plan that get’s me through the entire Bible in a year at a comfortable pace, but I also read devotionals, topical non-fiction, commentaries, and more.

I like to share my perspective of the Bible as I go through it and apply it to my life. It may not be everyone’s view of the Bible, but it is mine and what I have learned through peers, pastors, and others. You can follow along with my continuous Bible study on a variety of topics and plans right here.

Principle V: Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.

Principle IV: Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, God, and to someone I trust.

Principle III: Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ's care and control.

Principle II: Earnestly Believe That God Exists, That I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.

Principle I: Realize I’m not God. I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and that my life is unmanageable.
